Online EPF Withdrawal Process
Employees’ Provident Fund Organization in a bid to make EPF withdrawal process easy has started accepting online submission of claims towards PF withdrawal. Currently, withdrawal from the provident fund process takes around 30 to 35 days and in some case, it goes beyond 35 days but with this new online facility, EPFO is assuring to reduce this time period to 5 days.
However, there are few pre-requisites which need to be completed before submitting a withdrawal request online:
Pre-Requisites Checklist
i) UAN and Mobile Number
To submit EPF withdrawal request online, you first need to activate your UAN (Universal Account Number) and make sure that the mobile number registered under UAN is active and is in use.
ii) Aadhaar
Aadhaar Details should be seeded and the details of aadhaar should perfectly match with the details of UAN i.e. Name, Date of Birth and gender.
iii) Bank Account Number and IFSC
Bank account number together with the IFSC code must be filled and linked to your UAN. Please ensure that the bank details are correct because this is where the EPF withdrawal amount would come.
iv) PAN
If you have not been the member of EPFO for at least 5 years then Permanent Account Number needs to be added in EPFO database.

Once you have fulfilled all the above details, you can take the step forward towards filing EPF withdrawal request online as follows.
How to make EPS and EPF withdrawal online?
a) You can submit your claim online through Aadhaar Composite Claim form which will be pre-filled with your basic information. You can access the same after login to the member interface with your UAN credentials.
b) Select the relevant claim and authenticate the same using OTP (one time password) received on the registered mobile number with Aadhaar to complete the online EPF withdrawal claim submission.

Please note that Form 19 is for Provident Fund final settlement, Form 31 is for partial EPF withdrawal and Form 10C is for pension withdrawal. No documents would be required for partial withdrawal.
c) There is no requirement of interacting with your employer or with the EPFO staff of withdrawal.
